Techmi started with a simple frustration: online stores full of ten thousand forgettable products and no way to know which ones are actually good. So we flipped the model — instead of listing everything, we test everything and list almost nothing.

The 12-point inspection
Every candidate product is ordered, used daily for two weeks, and scored across twelve criteria — materials, tolerances, packaging, factory audits, defect rates, drop tests, and more. Ten out of twelve or it doesn't ship. Most products score six.
The products that survive get one more test: would we gift this to someone we love, at full price, with our name on the box? That question kills more products than the other twelve combined.
The result is a small catalog with a return rate under 2% — a fraction of the industry average — and a customer base that comes back, again and again.
